explore the human spirit through color and duality
Islam-kant (b. 1967) is a Chechnya-born Dutch abstract painter based in Rotterdam.
Trained as a physician in USSR, he worked as a doctor during the First Chechen War before rebuilding his life in the Netherlands — first re-establishing his medical career, and later redefining himself as a self-taught artist.
His paintings explore the human spirit through color, duality, and subconscious perception.
